Are you certifiable? We?re seeking a Senior Aircraft Certification engineer to lead the FAA certification process for multiple Garmin aircraft projects. The person in this position will be responsible for coordinating with the FAA, internal teams and outside customers to ensure well- planned, efficient and timely aircraft systems implementation, development and FAA certification. We are looking for a full-time Senior Aircraft Certification Engineer for our headquarters in the greater Kansas City area. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring well organized project proposals, project specific certification plans, and project schedules. You will also assist in the preparation and verification of aircraft installation and FAA certification documents. Other essential functions include:

Participate in coordination with outside customers to understand and meet their expectations consistently

Assist in coordination with internal Garmin groups to communicate, execute and meet project goals

Ensure accurately defined aircraft modification compliance requirements in accordance with 14 CFR part 23/25

+ n

Ensure logically defined project documentation structure

n

+ n

Provide engineering support for the integration of aircraft systems including integrated cockpit systems, automatic flight control systems, TCAS, TAWS, Weather Radar and other assorted avionics systems

n

+ n

Provide engineering support for the development of system safety documents

n

n

+ n

Mentor less-experienced Aircraft Certification Engineers
