Role Summary:

Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Department has a supportive role in knowledge management gathering data and storing them in a system. Provides the technical support for assigned processes / products attaining quality excellence with cost superiority. Develop programs / methods to optimize producibility, reduce cycle time, manufacturing losses and overall shop cost. Assure adherence to quality control systems / plan. Process / Product Engineers / Specialists.

Essential Responsibilities:

This position will support the Comp Repair organization in back-shop processes

In addition, as the Process Engineer – Machining, you will :

  • Define and control production process including tooling and equipment

  • Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. Includes Manufacturing Engineers

  • Plan differing activities on the basis of a predefined year plan.

  • Monitor and measure manufacturing losses

  • Provide leadership in the development and implementation of new manufacturing techniques to reduce losses and improve quality

  • Maintain quality control systems for assigned area including appropriate audits and associated corrective actions

  • Conduct process capability and load studies recommending floor lay out and facilities justification

  • Interface with Design, Engine Assembly and vendors as appropriate to ensure smooth flow of quality hardware at lower cost

  • Provide the focus for customer support and response to customer identified problems

  • Process design changes

  • Provide advice / counsel and necessary training to other Process Engineers / Specialists

  • Provide technical leadership on state-of-the-art investment and methods to improve quality, inventory turnover and cost performance

  • Engineering experience in machining processes Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Production Process and Equipment ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT :

  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology.
