National Accounts Manager – Overland Park, KS
This is a full time, exempt level position.
Position Summary:
The successful candidate will achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration managing sales and related responsibilities of select accounts as well as seeking out and calling on prospective customers. This position will report to the Director of Sales.
Job Responsibilities:
·Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current and prospective customers to generate new business for the organizations products/service
·Providing pricing, market information and risk management alternatives
·Develops clear and effective proposals/quotations for current and prospective clients
·Planning and organizing monthly work schedule to allow for travel to clients as well as prospecting
·Preparation of tailored sales presentations to existing and potential accounts.
·Involvement in strategic account management
·Working closely with commercial, trading, quality, transportation and customer service departments to maximize long-term profitable growth
·Submitting activity and results based reports, weekly progress reports, monthly and annual account analysis reports
·Recommend changes in products and services by evaluating results and competitive developments
·Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; making recommendations to management
·Keeps abreast of product applications. Technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends
·Monitor and manage customer credit lines within established limits
·Effectively manage expense budget to maximize results
·Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints with the aid of the milling team
Job Requirements:
·Bachelor’s Degree
·Sales experience preferred
·Commodity and Risk Management experience or familiarity desired
·Must have good interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
·Basic math, accounting, and customer service proficiency required
·Must have closing skills, prospecting skills, time management skills, presentation skills, negotiation ability and product knowledge
·Self-confident, goal oriented, motivation for sales, and self-starter
·Position requires 30% travel
