          Raytheon Information Assurance Engineer in Kansas City Kansas United States

          Job Description: Raytheon is supporting a Federal Government customer contract for delivering technical support to customer management and providing resources for the technical services required to enable customer mission accomplishment. In support of the customer's strategic direction, Raytheon is looking for individuals who can support the protection of the customer environment. An expert in information assurance is needed to support the customer team.

          This position can be a Salary Grade E03 or E04 based upon the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
          Responsibilities may include:
          - Perform network vulnerability analysis and reporting
          - Perform network security monitoring and analysis
          - Identifies suspicious and malicious activities, identifies and tracks malicious code (including worms, viruses, and Trojan horses)
          - Investigate and eradicate computer viruses and malicious code
          - Provide computer incident and violation response support
          - Provide cyber security awareness and training
          - Participate in technical meetings and working groups to address issues related to computer security and vulnerabilities
          - Applies knowledge of current IA policies, to include structures, roles major organizations, to identify and correct shortcomings in the structure
          - Prepare, write, and present reports and briefings as required
          - Provide evaluations of program and system vulnerabilities as they relate to security and development programmatic or procedural countermeasures necessary to protect program operation
          - Incorporate all security disciplines, recommend and develop requirements, specifications, designs, and procedures to satisfy program security policy and planning guidance
          - Monitor the implementation of security requirements for government and industry facilities and systems
          - Develop reports, information, and recommendations that support the implementation of government security requirements
          - Participates in special projects as required

          Required Skills:

          - Must be able to attain Secret security clearance (Note some positions may require existing TS/SCI clearance)
          - Must be a U.S. Citizen
          - A grade/level E03 requires a minimum of 4+ years relevant experience
          - A grade/level E04 requires a minimum of 6+ years relevant experience
          - An understanding of the advanced threats targeting large enterprises and the tools, tactics, and procedures used by state sponsored and/or foreign threats.
          - Experience with system and security design and architecture
          - Knowledge of LANS, VPNs, Routers, firewalls
          - Strong understanding of windows and UNIX operating systems
          - Demonstrated ability to manage teams
          - Understanding of security technologies and concepts, and in design and implementation of secure network solutions including DMZs and web portals
          - Knowledge of Information Assurance and Information Operations technologies and development activities.
          - Understanding of the processes and guidelines for Certifying & Accrediting (NIST 800-53/ICD 504/DITSCAP/DIACAP/DCID 6/3) information systems.
          - Possesses or quickly develop a comprehensive understanding of Government Information Security policies, regulations, and guidelines.
          - Proficiency with MS Office Applications
          - Must be able to work collaboratively across agencies and physical locations

          Desired Skills:
          - 6+ years of experience for the E03 Level
          -8+ years of experience for the E04 Level
          - Experience supporting Federal Civil, DoD or Intelligence Customers
          - Experience with process development and deployment
          - Experience with one or more of the following:
          - Security COTS integration

          * Operating System Hardening

          * Vulnerability Assessment testing
          - Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems
          - Anti-virus management tools

          * Identification and Authentication schemes

          * Public Key Infrastructure and Identity Management

          * Cross Domain Solutions

          * Computer Network Exploitation (CNE)

          * Computer Network Operations (CNO)

          * Malware Analysis
          - Experience with software development

          * Reverse Software Engineering
          - Security engineering
          - Federal Information Management Systems Act (FISMA) audits
          - Excellent writing skills
          Required Education:
          BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, OR Computer Systems Engineering.

          Desired Certifications:
          Security+, CISSP, CEH, GCFA, GCIA, or GCIH
